Hrvatska - Wine

I was once told to drink as much Croatian sparkling wine as I could safely fit in my body.  I came to Croatia, Hrvatska if you prefer the local language, with high expectations of being constantly surrounded by sparkling wine. My vision is admittedly blurry, and the person saying to drink as much as possible, did not necessarily say sparking wine is here in abundance, I just assumed. Perhaps it is and the Croatia of my mental vision lives on somewhere. We were in the post city of Split and I promise we did try to drink as much wine as possible, notably of local varietals. This one in particular is the most abundant and recommended by locals.
